The committee is headed by the immediate past president of the Nigerian Senate Bukola Saraki.
Faseyi, in a statement by his media office on Thursday, thumbed up the role the committee played in ensuring that both Governor Seyi Makinde and former Governor Ayodele Fayose-led factions reached amicable compromises ahead of the congress which held last Monday in Osogbo, Osun State. ....

The immediate former National Vice Chairman (South-West) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Dr Eddy Olafeso, has defended his decision to concede defeat in the last Monday’s election, saying his personal ambition should not scuttle the party’s unity and development.
Olafeso, who disclosed this while speaking in Akure, the Ondo State capital, said he conceded defeat to give peace a chance in the South-West and move forward to build a stronger and virile PDP that can win future elections.
According to him, a lot of things went wrong during the congress, saying the whole process was fraught with irregularities but said he had put it behind him to give peace a chance in the PDP South-West. ....
