As the temperature drops, Rockhampton Regional Council has confirmed Gracemere and Mount Morgan pools will be closed for the winter from this Saturday 1 May.
The 42
nd Battalion pool in North Rockhampton will close a little later, on Monday 17 May.
Councillor for Parks, Sports and Public Spaces Cherie Rutherford said the 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre would remain open throughout the winter.

Families can enjoy the delights of the wet play area at South Rocky Pool again, now that a much needed part has arrived and been installed.
Sports, Parks, and Public Spaces Councillor Cherie Rutherford thanked the community for their patience.
“We know the South Rocky pool’s wet play area is a real favourite for families, and we’ve had to keep it closed for quite a few weeks which is always a shame.
“The closure was unavoidable: a part of the filter system stopped working, and unfortunately we weren’t able to source that specific part locally. ....
