Frontline Yoruba Nation campaigner, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, has been heavily criticised and blamed for his recent arrest by security agents in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Sunday Igboho, as DAILY POST reported earlier, was arrested in the neighbouring Benin Republic together with some of his family members on Monday night.
The activist and his wife, Ropo, were arrested at the Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou as they tried to escape to Germany.
The secessionist who was declared wanted in Nigeria by the Department of State Services, DSS, was said to have presented a fake travelling document to immigration officials in Benin. ....

Secretary of the Lower Niger Congress, Mr. Tony Nnadi says it is the responsibility of the Southern Nigerian people to walk out of a country that has failed.
Nnadi said the pro-democracy group formed on 15th May, 1994 as the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) succeded with its agitation to end the military junta in Nigeria.

Facts on Tuesday emerged about how Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Benin Republic, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd.), was instrumental to the arrest of the Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.
A top security source in the Benin Republic confided in The PUNCH that the former Chief of Army Staff wrote the government of the small West African country and insisted on the arrest and extradition of Igboho. ....

Three weeks after he was declared wanted by Nigeria’s secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS), Benin’s Republican Police on Monday night reportedly nabbed popular campaigner for Yoruba self-determination, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.
Igboho was arrested in neighbouring Cotonou, Benin Republic, while trying to travel to Germany. According to local reports, Beninoise authorities arrested Igboho at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport, Cotonou. ....
