TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) - Police are still trying to find out who is selling dangerous drugs on the streets of Texarkana and officials are asking residents to be careful.
“Anytime you take drugs, you buy on the street you really don’t know what’s in it, how it’s been made or anything like that. You quite honestly you are putting yourselves in potentially a lot of danger to do it,” said Shawn Vaughn with the Texarkana Texas Police Department. ....

HHS provides $13.8 million to businesses in Manning under CARES ACT


Through the fourth quarter of 2020, businesses in Manning received $13.8 million in health-related relief from the CARES act issued by the Department of Health and Human Services.
According to numbers reported through the fourth quarter of 2020, businesses in South Carolina received $1.2 billion in health-related relief from the CARES act issued by the Department of Health and Human Services. The largest recipient of funding in the state was Prisma Health-Upstate with a total of $131 million. The average loan size in the city was $983,515 while the state s average loan amount was $258,718.
Of the money distributed, $30 billion went out automatically to health providers based on previous year medicare payments. If the money wasn t returned within 90 days the provider is then automatically entered into the repayment terms that are issued by HHS.
