IMPD finds gunshot victim near Southport Crossing

Officers found the man just after 2:20 a.m. north of Stop 10 Road.

INDIANAPOLIS IMPD detectives are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man dead on the south side.
A police spokesman said officers were responding to a possible accident at 2:20 a.m. Saturday at Weber Drive and Orinoco Avenue in the Southport Crossing residential complex off Stop 10 Road. They found a man who appeared to have been shot.
The victim, who was later identified as 18-year-old John Neri Guzman, was confirmed dead by medics.
