Sadler, 29, shot Mr Anderson-Brettner three times at his Riverside home on August 15, 2018. He then decapitated and dismembered the body. The jury spent four hours deliberating on Wednesday afternoon and returned the unanimous verdict after about 30 minutes of further deliberations on Thursday morning. ....
Date Time Firearms, cash and drugs seized in targeted police operation On 10/5/2021 members of Launceston Firearms Taskforce executed a search warrant at a South Launceston address. As a result of the search the following was located and seized; – 3 x pistols – Over 1000 rounds of ammunition – Trafficable quantity of methylamphetamine – $86,000 cash – Possess a firearm when not the holder of a firearm licence – Possess ammunition when the holder of a licence – Trafficking in a controlled substance – Possess controlled drug – Dealing with proceeds of crime The man has been bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on 16/6/21. Date Time Police charge man with child exploitation offences Following a protracted investigation, members from Tasmania Police’s High Risk Child Exploitation Unit yesterday arrested a 23-year-old Launceston man and charged him with 11 counts of Involve a Person Under 18 Years in the Production of Child Exploitation Material and one count of Possess Child Exploitation Material. Police allege that over the course of almost two years the man had contacted children across Australia and in the United States and coerced them to produce Child Exploitation Material in the form of images and video of themselves. It is alleged the images were then electronically sent to the man. ....
