Springfield community and faith leaders gathered Saturday to call for the dismissal of Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood and to address what they call systemic racism in the city.

    SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts (WGGB, WSHM-LD) Springfield community and faith leaders gathered Saturday to call for the dismissal of Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood and to address what they call systemic racism in the city.
Hundreds of demonstrators met at Adams Park and marched down to Wesley United Methodist Church on State Street. They said they want to ask the mayor if he believes systemic racism exists in the city. ....

GREAT FALLS — A Kalispell nurse practitioner pleads guilty to charges of committing health fraud, after federal prosecutors charged her with signing fraudulent orders for thousands of orthotic braces.
The charges stem from a Department of Justice Investigation into efforts to defraud Medicare of more than $18-million.
Prosecutors say 34-year old Janae Nichole Harper was a licensed nurse practitioner in Montana, Missouri, Nevada, South Carolina and Wyoming. Also pleading guilty was 54-year old Mark Allen Hill, of Edinburg, North Dakota, who s address of record was Cutbank. ....

ALBANY, NY – Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay and Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt were joined by their colleagues today at the State Capitol to reinforce the need for the Legislature to finally remove Gov. Cuomo’s expanded emergency powers.
Having spent the last several months rejecting repeated legislative attempts by Republicans to end the governor’s authorities, Democrats have now drafted a proposal to restore the Legislature’s status as a co-equal branch of government.
“It should not have taken a national scandal regarding nursing home fatalities and federal investigation of the governor’s office to reach this point,” Barclay said. “Rolling back Gov.
