Three South Holland schools report positive tests for COVID-19

Leaders at three South Holland schools have reported positive tests for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, it has been confirmed today (Thursday, December 17).
Pinchbeck East Primary School, The Priory School, Spalding, and Whaplode Primary School, are among 21 primary and secondary schools across Lincolnshire where either a pupil, student or staff member has tested positive for the virus and informed their school.
The list, published by Lincolnshire County Council s children s services department, related to the period from Thursday, December 10, until Wednesday, December 16.

However, it is not known whether a pupil or staff member at Pinchbeck East, Priory and Whaplode tested positive, nor whether any year groups have been asked to self-isolate as a result.
Sutton Bridge primary school reports positive COVID case

Three South Holland schools are among 15 across Lincolnshire to have reported positive tests for COVID-19 in the last seven days, it has been confirmed.
Westmere Community Primary School, Sutton Bridge, as well as Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School and Spalding Grammar School, are named on the latest published by Lincolnshire County Council yesterday (Monday, December 14).
The list, which relates to positive tests reported between Wednesday, December 9, and Tuesday, December 15, also includes Thurlby Community Primary Academy and Wyberton Primary Academy.
Three South Holland schools have reported one or more positive cases of COVID-19 after testing.
Spalding Grammar School reports positive test for COVID-19

Spalding Grammar School is one of four schools in the area to have reported positive tests for COVID-19 in the last seven days, it has been confirmed.
Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School, Thurlby Community Primary Academy and Wyberton Primary Academy are also on a list published by Lincolnshire County Council today (Monday, December 14).
However, it is not known whether a pupil/student or staff member at the schools concerned returned a positive test in the period between December 7 and 13.

Andy Fox, consultant in public health at Lincolnshire County Council, said: We ve had ten schools make initial contact in the past seven days because of a pupil or staff member testing positive for coronavirus.

Ten Lincolnshire schools have made contact with the county council over the past seven days because of a pupil or staff member testing positive for COVID-19.
On Monday, December 14, Lincolnshire County Council said the current rate of infection in school age children in Lincolnshire is 184 cases per 100,000 over seven days.
This is up from Friday’s figure of 164, but the council said it is much lower than the rate of 243 cases per 100,000 for all ages.
In addition, Sir Robert Pattinson Academy in North Hykeham has been forced to close until next year after the school said a parent failed to isolate their children despite a positive COVID-19 test within the home.
Swineshead, Donington and Thurlby schools have reported cases of positive coronavirus tests

Three South Lincolnshire schools have reported cases of positive coronavirus tests.
Lincolnshire County Council says it has been notified in the last seven days because a pupil or staff member has tested positive at Swineshead St Mary s Primary School, Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School and Thurlby Community Primary Academy.
Andy Fox, consultant in public health, said: We ve had 12 schools make initial contact in the past seven days because of a pupil or staff member testing positive for coronavirus. The current rate of incidence in school age children in Lincolnshire is 155 cases per 100,000 over seven days, which is much lower than the rate of 232 cases per 100,000 for all ages.
