Middle Tennessee head coach Rick Stockstill will be without one of Conference USA’s top players, as two-year starting quarterback Asher O’Hara announced his entry to the transfer portal on Thursday. The redshirt junior appeared in 23 games over three seasons as a Blue Raider and earned the starting nod 21 times.
As a sophomore, he was one of two quarterbacks in FBS football to throw for over 2,500 yards and rush for 1,000, with the other being former Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts. This season, he got off to a lackluster start before rebounding following a come-from-behind victory over FIU to throw for 1,960 yards and account for 19 total touchdowns. ....
