Pennsylvania mom Dianna Brice, who was four months pregnant with her second child, was found dead on April 5 after last being seen visiting a laundromat with her boyfriend a week earlier.
Now, Tylydiah Garnett, a 21-year-old Philadelphia woman, faces charges in connection with the case, though she is not accused of killing Brice at this time.
On March 30, Brice, 21, of Lansdowne, and her boyfriend, Justin Smith, 23, were seen leaving the K Laundry in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, at 1 p.m., the Upper Darby Township Police said in a statement. ....

Philly police monitoring social media in effort to stop retaliatory shootings

City prosecutors and police stood inside a cavernous West Philadelphia church earlier this month to announce that four men now face criminal charges for allegedly injuring nine people, including three children, in a series of retaliatory shootings in 2018 and 2019.
The charges stemmed from a lengthy grand jury process. Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw credited ballistics evidence, cell phone records, and surveillance footage. She said evidence culled from social media also proved to be “invaluable” to the investigation launched under the umbrella of the city’s Gun Violence Task Force. ....

Accused drug dealer facing trial after arrest in Cheltenham with pound of methamphetamine


NORRISTOWN — A Philadelphia man who was apprehended in Cheltenham Township in January after a search of his car revealed a pound of crystal methamphetamine packaged for sale was ordered to stand trial in Montgomery County Court on drug and weapons charges.
Larry Lamar “Gunna” Hudson, 27, of the 200 block of Sparks Street, waived his preliminary hearing before District Court Judge Christopher J. Cerski on charges of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance, possession of prohibited firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with alleged incidents that occurred between November 2020 and Jan. 12, 2021.
Hudson, who remains in the county jail in lieu of $500,000 cash bail, faces a formal arraignment hearing on the charges in county court on May 12 before Judge William R. Carpenter. ....

Promoter of Morgantown Gun Show agrees to ban do-it-yourself gun kits at its shows, Pa. says


A week after announcing the arrests of four Philadelphia men on firearms charges following surveillance at the Morgantown Gun Show in Berks County, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said Monday that the state’s largest gun show promoter has agreed to ban the sale of do-it-yourself gun kits.
Shapiro called the ban of  ghost gun kits imposed by Breinigsville-based firearms dealer Eagle Arms at all its gun shows a significant step in curtailing the growing threat to public safety from the privately assembled firearms.
“This is a significant step,” Shapiro said, standing at a podium placarded with the words “Untrackable” and “Ghost Guns” and displaying one of the 80% ready-made receiver kits that were displayed by the hundreds at the Morgantown show. ....
