Ministerpräsident Winfried Kretschmann (Grüne) wollte drei Landesbeauftragte aus Spargründen abschaffen - doch dann hat das Wirtschaftsministerium den bisherigen Amtsinhaber als Beauftragten des Ressorts vorgestellt. Kretschmann äußerte sich am Dienstag verschnupft darüber, dass sowohl das Wirtschaftsministerium als auch das Verkehrsressort im Nachtragsetat weitere Mittel für ihre eigenen Beauftragten angemeldet hatten. „Das ist in der Tat nicht ganz im Sinne des Erfinders“, sagte Kretschmann in Stuttgart. Zuvor hatte die Opposition von einer „Posse“ gesprochen.
Es sei in den Koalitionsverhandlungen vereinbart gewesen, dass die Landesbeauftragten für Technologie, Lärmschutz und Demografie wegfallen sollen, erklärte Kretschmann. Die zuständigen Ministerien sollten die Themen selbst übernehmen und das aus eigenen Mittel ....

East African Community has moved to clear salary and allowances owed to its employees and leaders through a supplementary budget that was presented on June 28 for approval.
According to the supplementary budget, EAC organs and institutions including the Secretariat, members of parliament and the Lake Victoria Basin are owed more than $2.2 million in arrears. ....
