A 46-year-old man died Sunday night after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a ditch in the Clackamas County community of Eagle Creek.
The county sheriff’s office said Gabriel Cook of Boring tried to pass a vehicle on Amisigger Road near Judd Road about 9 p.m. and lost control while on a curve.
Cook drove off the road, crashing into a ditch, deputies said. He died at the scene.

HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Wayne County mother was killed Friday morning during a domestic altercation between two parents and their son.
According to authorities, the incident happened at two homes near the intersection of Judd and Gentz roads, just west of I-275 between Sibley and Huron roads.
Parts of Judd Road were blocked off during the investigation.
Police said a neighbor who is an off-duty police officer called police at about 8 a.m. and reported that someone had been stabbed in his front yard. He then stepped outside and held the suspect at gunpoint until more police arrived.
Tree trimming to close part of Eden Hill Road in Easton for weeks

EASTON A stretch of Eden Hill Road will be closed on weekdays for the next several weeks as crews work on tree trimming in the area, according to police.
The work will close Eden Hill Road between North Street and Easton Heights Lane from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Local traffic will take North Street to Judd Road to Hattertown Road to Hi Barlow Road to get back onto Eden Hill Road, according to the detour, shared by police.
