SCCI, SEED to help resolve issues of business community National April 18, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED) Programme have agreed to help resolve the issues being faced by the members of the business community. The SCCI and SEED have agreed to collaborate in order to strengthen the chamber’s research and development cell as well as enhancing cooperation between business and government. The agreement was reached in a meeting between SCCI President Sherbaz Bilour and SEED s Strategic Planning Advisor Omar Mukhtar Khan here Saturday, said a press release. The meeting discussed the SCCI’s proposal on improving public-private dialogue under an all-encompassing holistic platform. ....
Mirza Afridi vows to solve problems of tribes’ people Peshawar April 14, 2021 BARA: Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi on Tuesday said the government would solve all problems that emerged during militancy. Government officials from various departments, including education, Communications and Works and health, briefed the deputy chairman Senate. The local elders and the Sikh community informed the deputy chairman about their problems. They said that the infrastructure was destroyed during militancy so it should be rebuilt to facilitate the people. The elders said the government should increase the compensation amount for the homes that were destroyed during militancy. ....
Govt urged to resolve resort issue Islamabad April 14, 2021 Islamabad: Lawyers should help stakeholders promote tourism instead of dragging of them into litigation of subsequent closure of tourism promotion sites. Commenting on the closure of the Malam Jabba site on the court orders, Vice-President of the Mardan Bar Association Ashraf Ali urged the government to do its best to restore tourism activities in the area that is providing jobs to thousands of locals besides helping the local businesses to flourish. He said that certain principles should be followed to promote tourism in the region and bring investment, adding that the courts should refrain from judicial overreach.
