Impaired driver dies following three-car collision

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A driver involved in a three-car collision earlier this month has passed away as a result of their injuries.
On December 18, 2020, just after 7 p.m., officers from Operations Division East were dispatched to the 5800 block of E. Broadway Blvd. for a report of a serious injury collision involving three vehicles. Tucson Fire Medics also responded to scene and rendered aid.
One of the drivers, 21-year-old Alexis Nicole Romero was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. A second driver was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The third driver was not injured and was evaluated at the scene by Tucson Fire. ....

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A pedestrian has died as the result of a deadly collision on Monday evening.
On December 28, 2020, just before 8 p.m., officers from Operations Division South were dispatched to the intersection of S. Campbell Ave.and E. Irvington Rd. for a report of a serious-injury collision involving a pedestrian.
Tucson Fire Medics also responded and rendered aid to the adult male pedestrian. Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Traffic Unit Detectives were contacted and responded to the scene. ....

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - The Tucson Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred yesterday morning on Tucson’s South Side.
On December 19, 2020, shortly before 5 a.m., officers from Operations Division South were dispatched to the Quick Mart located at 6301 S. Park Ave. for the report of a check welfare on an employee.
Officers responded and entered the business where they located an adult male victim with obvious signs of gunshot trauma. Tucson Fire Medics also responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Toby Lee Uribe. Next of kin has been notified. ....

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) â The San Diego County District Attorney s Office said Friday that officers and deputies involved in four in-custody deaths were not criminally liable.
The in-custody deaths happened between September 2019 and May 2020. DA said that each incident involved a person who had methamphetamine in their system at the time of death, which the Medical Examiner said was a factor in their death. ....

Montgomery Police Launch Investigation into 26th Traffic Fatality of 2020

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a December 6th traffic collision that resulted in one fatality.
On Sunday, December 6, 2020, at about 10:15 a.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to the area of the I-65 southbound off ramp to Selma Highway on a single-vehicle traffic collision. At the scene, they located a 2012 Harley Davidson with one occupant. The driver, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. However, the driver, Gary Greeson, 62, later died from his injuries on December 12, as a result of the collision.
MPD’s investigation indicates that the Harley was traveling southbound on I-65 attempting to exit onto Selma Highway. In doing so, the Harley struck a sign. ....
