Taunton Magistrates Courts in St John s Road, Taunton A TAUNTON man who was caught driving without insurance will not lose his licence because it could have ended up making him homeless. Marc Raymond Close, 33, of Beaufort Road, was given six penalty points at Taunton Magistrates Court. But he avoided being banned despite being over the 12 point limit after the bench was told he would lose his job, which may lead to him becoming homeless. The court heard that due to the dire situation with employment prospects during the Covid pandemic this would be even worse . Close was fined £259 with a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs. ....
