Friday, 16:12, 12/03/2021 VOV.VN - Van Don International Airport received two repatriation flights on March 11 returning over 350 Vietnamese citizens back to the country from Japan. Vietnam has repatriated over 350 citizens from Japan through Van Don International Airport on March 11. This marks the first flights to land at the airport since its closure last month due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The first arrival occurred at 19:00 p.m. on March 11 when VietJet Air’s Airbus A321 brought 193 passengers home from Japan. Two hours later, a further 160 Vietnamese citizens arrived home safe and sound after taking another repatriation flight from Japan. The majority of passengers onboard the flights were made up of students who have already completed their courses but have difficulties finding accommodation, along with other citizens facing challenges.
