Mackay Basketball this morning confirmed Khalu had been reappointed as head coach for the club s 2021 and 2022 NBL1 North campaigns. Fresh from leading the Meteors on an unbeaten ConcoPhillips CQ Cup title, in lieu of the abandoned NBL1 North 2020 season, Khalu s attention now turns to preparing his squad for the rigours of a state league campaign and prospective national championship run - for which he has ample experience. Across a 10-year playing career with the Cairns Marlins, Khalu was twice an ABA National Champion (1998, 2007) and a four-time QBL winner (1998, 2001, 2007 and 2009). ....
