1. When the Train Comes Along: This new exhibit, which opens Friday, focuses on Booker T. Washingtonâs visit at the Tampa Bay Casino and explores the significance and impact of his 1912 address in Tampa â a mostly forgotten chapter of local history. Washington, an educator and advocate who dined with President Theodore Roosevelt in the White House, was one of the most famous men in the country at the time. The exhibit includes 19th and early-20th century objects, sound recordings, photographs, maps and more. Friday through Dec. 23. $10, $7 seniors/s
