Nemacolin's watch parties search for glimpses of the resort on ABC's 'The Bachelor'

The chemistry and history with “The Bachelor” crew “were the perfect ingredients to make magic happen” at Nemacolin, said Maggie Hardy Knox, owner and president, in a statement.
“It’s like they were traveling the world, but they maintained a bubble here on our 2,000-acre playground,” she said. “While they were shooting, we used that time to train our associates in working with the crew to maintain our guest service standards.”
On Monday night, guests lounged on couches surrounded by decorative pillows and big-screen television all socially distanced to see if they could spot familiar locations.

Christmas Massacre Was Premeditated: Police

Police confirm what family friends said Monday, that Azizolah Bob Yazdanpanah, 56, fired the fatal shots in the murder-suicide.
Grapevine police identified the victims as his wife, Fatemah Nasrin Rahmati, 55; their daughter, Nargis Nona Yazdanpanah, 19; and their son, Ali Yazdanpanah, 14. Nasrin s sister, Zohreh Rahmati, 58; her husband, Mohamad Hossein Zarei, 59; and their daughter, Sahra Fatemah Zarei, 22; were also killed, police confirmed.
Police received a 911 call from an apartment in the 2500 block of Hall Johnson Road on Christmas morning. When officers arrived, they found the door locked from the inside.
Investigators recovered two weapons on the scene a Smith and Wesson 915 model 9 mm pistol with a 15-round magazine and a Glock 23 .40-caliber pistol with a 10-round clip, Eberling said. ....

Gingerbread Drive-Thru Raises Funds for Scottish Rite for Children

The annual Cookies and Castles event benefitting Texas Scottish Rite for Children carried on this year with a twist.
Instead of making gingerbread houses together, people participated in a drive-thru where everything they needed was included in a kit. More than 2,000 gingerbread houses and 6,000 pounds of candy were distributed to families. Santa Claus even surprised kids with a drive-thru photo booth.
Money raised from the event directly benefits the Orthotics and Prosthetics department at Scottish Rite for Children.
