(KWNO)- Three people were injured following a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 61 and Pelzer Street in Winona Tuesday. The State Patrol says a sedan, driven by 23-year-old Javon N. Kunkel of Rochester, was heading south on Pelzer street and collided with two vehicles traveling in the southbound lanes of 61. Kunkel was taken to Gundersen Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The two other drivers, 50-year-old Trang Thu Thi Le of Rochester and 45-year-old Karla A. Winter of Winona, were hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Winona Police say they received a complaint of a vehicle matching Kunkel’s vehicle description driving erratically on westbound Riverview Dr. roughly two minutes before the crash. ....
