DHARAMSHALA, July 4: The Republican MP Scott Perry on Thursday tweeted that the resolution has been introduced in the US Congress, calling on US President Biden to declare Tibet an independent country. “After 70+ years of illegal occupation of Tibet by the murderous Chinese Communist Party, it’s well past time for the US to take action. That’s why I’m proud today to introduce a resolution calling on President Biden to declare Tibet an independent country,” he tweeted in the backdrop of July 1

On May 23, 1951, the Agreement of the Central People s Government and the Local Government of Tibet on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet (the 17-Article Agreement) was signed.
