SURAT: Gujarati businessmen are known for their enterprising nature. Carrying forward the legacy, businessmen from south Gujarat are now looking to explore new opportunities in the north-eastern state of Tripura.
A delegation of businessmen of Surat from different sectors, headed by president of Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dinesh Navadiya, recently visited Tripura to explore new business opportunities. The delegation visited tea estates, mega food parks, industrial estate, bamboo processing and furniture making units, rubber processing units and agarwood plantations.
“The state has a lot of potential, but it is hardly known outside. There are many industries in which businessmen from south Gujarat can invest and the state government has also promised benefits like subsidies, GST reimbursements among others,” said Navadiya.
