Addressing the party’s virtual rally on Saturday, Steenhuisen said his party was ready to take on the governing ANC in the local government elections scheduled for October 27. He said proposals to postpone the elections were being made by parties who feared being rejected by voters at the elections. “Our opponents are trying their best to wiggle their way out of it. The Yamhill County District Attorney s Office will investigate allegations of bias and profiling in the prosecution of a local right-wing protest organizer. After a federal judge ruled last month that the criminal case against Joey Gibson can proceed, lawyers for the Patriot Prayer leader and his associate filed complaints of selective prosecution against Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt. A man who allegedly built and exploded a pipe bomb during a dispute with the owner of an RV faces multiple felony charges, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt has announced. Jake Kenneth Swingle, 24, faces one count each of first-degree arson, manufacture and possession of a destructive device and unlawful use of weapon for the alleged March 6 bombing of the RV parked in the 3800 block of Northeast 141st Drive in the Argay Terrace neighborhood. Investigators say the PVC bomb broke the rear bumper of the RV in half. The damage included small fragments of cardboard, insulation and plastic, and the metal compartment was deformed as it would be from an explosion, according to a news release. ....
