Attorneys at The Coppola Firm announced they have filed a second lawsuit against Russell s Steaks, Chops and More and Salvatore s Grand Hotel.
The complaint was filed on behalf of Lindsay McKay, a former bartender, who alleges that she and her colleagues saw numerous violations of COVID-19 rules and safety guidelines. McKay said she was fired after reporting violations to the state Health Department.
In a release, attorney Lisa Coppola said state labor law protects whistleblowers who raise complaints about working conditions that put public health and safety at risk, or those who object to working in conditions that pose a public danger. Coppola added after an initial lawsuit was filed last month, her firm received calls from other employees who were afraid to come forward. ....
