Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A drug-related arrest in Rochester Monday night may help police in their ongoing investigation into a recent spike in overdoses, including at least two that were fatal.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says two men were arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of 6,000 Oxycodone pills.
They were found in the back seat of the car that was driven by 25-year-old Dahir Dahir. He was pulled over for speeding and the car was searched after the officer smelled marijuana.
A passenger - 25-year-old Abdullai Islaw of Rochester - was also arrested. Both men are expected to be arraigned Wednesday on drug charges. ....

ISLAMABAD: Strongly rejecting misunderstandings being created against the coronavirus vaccine, the Special Aide to Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Middle East affairs, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi said that there is nothing wrong with the Covid-19 vaccine and declared that renowned scholars of the Muslim world and Darul Afta Pakistan have decreed to administer vaccination against coronavirus as there was nothing wrong with that. He also announced that February 5th will be observed to express support and solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris and on that day, the Friday congregations all over the country will also offer special prayers for the liberation of the Kashmiris in IIOJK. ....

ISLAMABAD: Special Aide to Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on Thursday said no force can affect Pakistan s relations with the Arab Islamic countries.
“Pakistan will further strengthen its relations with Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries and change in the US Administration will not affect Pakistan s relations with the Arab Islamic world,” he said while talking to the international Arab media here on Thursday.
Tahir Ashrafi said: We hope that the new US president will play an effective role in resolving the Palestinian and Kashmir issues. ....

Islamabad:The executive committee of the Grand Health Alliance (GHA) unanimously passed a resolution Thursday, demanding the resignation of the PM’s Special Assistant on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, calling upon Prime Minister Imran Khan to halt the ‘undue interference’ of Dr. Nausherwan Burki in matters related to withdrawal of the Medical Teaching Institutes (MTI) Ordinance.
The employees of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) continued their protest on the 53rd day, with a resolve to continue the struggle till the lapse of the MTI legislation. The charged protesters pledged not to negotiate with the government any longer, to have the Ordinance reverted, and to protect the MD, MS, and MDS programme of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU). ....

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Representative of the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that anti-Pakistan lobbies want sectarian riots in the country which were foiled by mutual alliance and will be thwarted in the future.
Addressing a press conference at the Muttahida Ulema Board, he said that some forces wanted to create chaos in the country in the name of religion. The present government is the guardian of madrassas, mosques and Khatm-e-Nabuwat (SAW).
