The Belait District Youth and Sports Department conducted a workshop focussing on petanque at Mumong Sports Complex last Sunday.
With over 30 attendees comprising Youth and Sports Department staff and students accompanied by their teachers, the workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam Petanque Federation, who is tasked to disseminate the basics of the sport.
The workshop covered a theoretical introduction and the rules and regulations.
This was also supplemented by a practical showcase as attendees played the sport, led by instructors from the federation.
Brunei Darussalam Petanque Federation member Surtini binti Haji Abidin said the workshop also aimed to raise interest in the sport. ....
