He was also the cousin of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif. PMLN sources said he suffered a heart attack which proved fatal. The deceased was also the brother-in-law of PMLN leader and ex-MNA Sohail Zia Butt. The deceased was director of Ittefaq Group of Companies. PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif has postponed his scheduled visit to Islamabad to attend funeral prayers of his cousin. Traders and industrialists’ bodies also expressed grief over the demise of Tariq Shafi, who worked hard for the cause of business community. ....
