Just in: House Judiciary chair Jerry Nadler says McGahn provided substantial new info re Mueller “How dangerously close President Trump brought us to, in Mr McGahn’s words, the ‘point of no return.’” Hugo Lowell (@hugolowell) June 9, 2021 McGahn testified that Trump’s directions were “crazy shit”, per transcript including being warned that firing Mueller might be obstruction, only for Trump to order him to get Rosenstein to fire Mueller. https://t.co/Cd3ucUR9w7 Hugo Lowell (@hugolowell) June 9, 2021 Judiciary Cmte: Trump directed McGahn to write a false statement knowing that the statement was false, and knowing that carrying out this order might expose McGahn to criminal liability, including prosecution by the Special Counsel. https://t.co/ODuz0Kqmb7 ....
has horrifying stat of which I had no idea last year he graduated high school in a state which has the lowest graduation rate, just 65%, for Black students anywhere in the United States. be willing to bet, like it or not, profiling of young black men by police, especially if they act and look a certain way, will continue in Minnesota until that number improves. Those without a high school diploma have nowhere to go but down. (Has nothing to do with Geo. Floyd s treatment after being in custody, of course.) ....

Not just Moore s Law - improved algorithmic approach helps make critical calculations much much faster, bringing their practical use closer. Here a student does Fusion Reactor computations in 1% of the time using 1/16th the hardware. Scale this up and it s a huge savings in compute power and energy to tackle much larger problems - problems that might not be doable without these increased efficiencies. Massively increasing data is a huge problem without the ability to massively improve on handling it. Of course this doesn t have to be high tech applications - it can be social and demographic functions, government tasks, etc. Crunch on. ....
As usual, these are birth anecdotes, not statistics, so the percent they represent is hard to say, nor does it address things like sheer numbers, costs, etc. But still worth considering, keeping in mind AA's note about the number of medical mistakes annually (my wife's was very good, but it was overseas and we got to pick the country!). Also, read the comments. ....
