Raymond Jackson had a healthy lead in Hermosa Beachâs special election to fill a vacant City Council seat, according to the semi-official results from the Los Angeles County registrar on Tuesday night, May 11. Jackson, vying against four other candidates to replace former Councilmember Hany Fangary, had about 36% of the vote, as of 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. On Thursday, April 8, the Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Association will host a forum from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The organization’s leader Al Benson will moderate. The Zoom web link will be listed at the top of HBneighborhood.org home page. The forum will also be streamed live on the City of Hermosa Beach YouTube Channel and on cable Spectrum channel 8 and FIOS channel 31.
