Crater Health moves into phase 1b of the COVID vaccine wave, but 1a shots are still given

PETERSBURG The Crater Health District joined the rest of Virginia Monday in beginning the Phase 1b wave of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, but district officials say a priority still remains to finish getting shots in the arms of those who made up the first phase frontline healthcare workers and residents of long-term healthcare facilities.
District spokeswoman Tara Rose said in an email over the weekend that CHD is considering some sites for potentially hosting mass vaccination clinics where the doses can be administered to a larger flow of traffic.
