If you ve never done yoga an event this weekend is the perfect place to try it out and support a great cause all at the same time. You ll be doing yourself and your community a lot of good at the All Bodies Yoga In The Park event. The event is being hosted by Congresswoman Veronica Escobar and her summer fellowship program.
You don t have to have a killer yoga body to have fun at the All Bodies Yoga even. Everyone is welcome to take part in the low-intensity session. I occasionally do yoga and this sounds like something even I can do. It s also a great way to enjoy Memorial Park, one of the most beautiful greenspaces in El Paso. If you re only used to doing yoga in a stuffy studio, I promise you, doing sun salutations in the park will put you in a whole different level of namaste. I really sound like I know this stuff don t I?
At their meeting Tuesday, the Bayard City Council discussed various ways to use legislative funds to improve recreational areas throughout the city. Prior to the pandemic, the council had hoped to build a new concession stand with these funds, said Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Ortiz. It s almost road construction season in Greater Sudbury, and soon enough drivers will be maneuvering around work zones on area streets and highways. The city recently approved $58 million in road upgrades and drainage projects within its 2021 municipal budget.

Third try’s the charm for Bayard’s nearly $2 million wastewater dewatering system project, for which a contract was finally awarded to Morrow Enterprises by city councilors during their brief regular meeting Monday afternoon.
“This [was] our third advertisement for construction bids for the dewatering system, and this is basically the best that we’ve been able to obtain,” said Bayard Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Ortiz. “Now that we have our full funding that included the legislative appropriation of the additional $455,000, we were going to be short about $60,000.”
