Health experts recommend COVID-19 mitigation strategies should return ahead of school year at the Jefferson City Council JC City Council Meeting July 19 JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) The Jefferson City Council met Monday to give a pandemic update on where to get vaccinated and where to get tested as COVID-19 numbers across the county and state continue to trend upward. Dr. Thomas Robbins with the Jefferson City Medical Group said during the meeting, We urge everybody to consider what we talked about in the past with social distancing and mask-wearing. The Cole County Health Department added 228 cases today. Of those, 56 were cases from June, 36 occurred from July 1 to July 6 and 48 were breakthrough infections. Since March 1, there have been 159 total breakthrough infections in the county. ....
