NJ Lottery, QuickChek launch partnership with new online courier

It s not the first digital courier program available in the Garden State, but Thursday s launch of Lotto.com in New Jersey creates a new way for lottery players to press their luck.
The scratch-built platform allows people to take a chance on a drawing simply by going to a website, rather than downloading an app such as Jackpocket.
Lotto.com CEO Thomas Metzger hopes it will enhance the e-commerce experience of playing the lottery by making the process more inclusive for younger, more affluent and more tech-savvy users.
Fans of the New Jersey Lottery now have a new way to buy a ticket online.
Jersey City-based Lotto.com said it has started selling state lottery tickets online and is the first digital platform where consumers can buy a New Jersey Lottery ticket over the internet on any device.
The company has partnered with QuickChek, which is promoting it in its 138 stores in New Jersey.
Thomas Metzger, chief executive officer of Lotto.com, said his company is trying to grow the state s lottery sales incrementally, and attract younger customers who may not go to a store to buy a ticket.

New Jerseyans can now digitally purchase lottery tickets through Lotto.com, which launched in partnership with QuickChek June 3.
Lotto.com is the first digital platform for buying lottery tickets on any device, with no app download or deposit required. Headquartered in Jersey City, it’s only the second licensed lottery courier in the country.
The company aims to modernize how the lottery is played while increasing its benefit to the public by aiding state funding and bolstering the proceeds that benefit many New Jersey residents including teachers, police and fire personnel, and other public employees.
