Oscar De Priest: A Congressional Death Threat J. Edgar Hoover Ignored SHARE In the wake of the January 6, 2021, attempted insurrection by supporters of then‐President Donald Trump, you can pretty much bet if you make even a clearly joking reference to “going after” House or Senate members, there’s a vastly increased chance you’ll get a visit from the FBI. Here’s five lessons we learned from self-recording an album for the first time, written by me, Tyler Richardson. ....
What do you hear in your head after you read these six words?
Is it that shimmering four-note guitar melody? Is it Bernard Fanning s voice as he belts out that anthemic chorus? Is it a line from the song that always just hits you right in the chest? Or do you see CGI footage of a slinky riding a skateboard? If you re a music lover who has lived in Australia for a while, there s a good chance those six words spark something. Some of the most memorable tracks from the biggest artists of our generation Powderfinger s My Happiness was voted as triple j listeners favourite song of 2000 in that year s Hottest 100. Twenty years on, the song has barely lost any momentum. ....
