[7] During January 2021, my wife and I walked the majority of the length of the Micklehurst Loop from Stalybridge to Diggle. This was the goods relieving line for the main Stalybridge to Huddersfield railway line. It had been hoped to alleviate congestion by making the mainline into a 4-track railway but the geography mitigated against this and a route on the other side of the Tame Valley was chosen instead. ....
Random House Studio Unveils Launch List By Sally Lodge | Mar 02, 2021 Summer will bring the debut titles from two imprints of Random House Children’s Books, each steered by a principal of Schwartz & Wade Books, co-directed by Anne Schwartz and Lee Wade from 2005 until 2020, when the imprint was disbanded. Wade is now spearheading Random House Studio, which is spotlighted here; and later this week we will feature a profile of Schwartz’s eponymous new imprint. Random House Studio’s freshman list, v-p and publisher Wade said, is representative of “the broad and diverse range of books the imprint will publish by bestselling, award-winning, and debut authors and illustrators.” Random House Studio plans to release books across all formats, with its primary focus on picture books. ....

Going to the library (x2) I ve spent the week trying to wrap my head around everything I have to do this semester putting all my due dates on the calendar and making sure I have all the books I need and so forth. Today that meant I had to head to the library to pick up my holds. I m taking a class on immigrant children s literature, which I think will be great. I went through all the articles I need to read for this class and found corresponding picture books at our local library and put them on hold. I ve been patiently waiting for them to trickle in but there were three that were just.very slow to transfer.and I had library books due today so I finally decided to just go to the library. I d go back for my other holds later. ....
