On Tuesday, July 13, at 1p.m., there will be a celebration of life for Moores at the Sandman Centre, home of the Kamloops Blazers, according to an announcement from the family, issued by the Kamloops Blazers. He is survived by his wife Sandra Moores, his children, Sherry, Wade and Nicole, his six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. The family has asked that instead of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Stollery Children s Hospital Foundation s pulmonary hypertension clinic in honour of his granddaughter Talitha. ....

The president and chief operating officer of the hockey club worked with the organization since 2016 and the Blazers family is devastated at the loss, according to a statement from the team today, June 30. Don was a dedicated family man and a pillar in the community being born and raised in Kamloops, the statement reads. Don and his family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Before he was president of the team, Moores played for the Kamloops Chiefs between 1974 and 1976 and went on to become assistant coach with the Blazers between 1985 and 1990. ....
