On December 22, a source from Salt Entertainment stated, “Actress Park Shin Hye donated approximately 90,000 sanitary pads to children and adolescents from low-income households through the Starlight Angel Project with Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI) and her fans.” The 20 million won (approximately $18,100) generously raised through the Starlight Angel Project will be donated as sanitary pads for adolescents in difficult economic conditions. The sanitary pads will be donated to around 500 adolescents in 38 of KFHI’s child community centers called Happy Home School and 24 centers recommended by the Korea Child Welfare Center Association for a total of 62 regional children’s centers nationwide including Seoul and Gwangju.
