Between players recovering from surgery, another scheduled for surgery and a trio of not-yet-on-campus Europeans, the Lobos have quite a few more questions than answers regarding the 2021-22 season. Destination: Pine Bluff, Arkansas. That’s the latest travel plan for the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team, which is scheduled to wrap up its non-conference schedule with a Thursday afternoon game at Arkansas Pine Bluff. It’s something of an all-inclusive package for the Lobos, who are scheduled to depart for Arkansas on Monday and will practice at UAPB’s Clemmons Arena for three days before facing the host Golden Lions. Thursday’s game is set for 1 p.m. The extended visit will allow UNM to avoid returning to Canyon, Texas, where it prepared for last week’s road victories over Midwestern State and Sam Houston State. The Lobos cannot hold full practices at home because of New Mexico’s coronavirus restrictions prohibiting gatherings of more than five people. ....
