RANKIN CO., Miss. (WLBT) - State police say a woman and two children are dead after a driver heading in the wrong direction crashed into them on MS 25.
The wreck happened around 11:38 p.m. Wednesday, north of Holly Bush Rd.
Kyle T. Dixon 54, of Jackson, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when he collided with a PT Cruiser heading northbound, officials say.
Dixon is charged with three counts of DUI manslaughter and is currently being held without bond in Rankin County until his preliminary hearing Tuesday. ....

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) California Highway Patrol officers arrested a man for driving the wrong way on Highway 99 just outside of Fowler on Thursday morning.
Officials responded to reports of a Dodge Challenger traveling north in the southbound lanes near the Manning Avenue exit around 1:30 am.
The CHP said the driver was going about 55 miles per hour. Officers were able to stop him on the highway s center median near the Merced Street off-ramp.
A beer bottle was seen in the car. There was also damage to the back of the vehicle, but the driver said it was from a previous incident. ....

(AP) â Two Wisconsin siblings returning from a Christmas lights display were killed Tuesday night when a suspected carjacker fleeing from police drove the wrong way on Interstate 95 in central Florida and collided head-on with their vehicle, authorities said.
The suspect also died in the crash on I-95 near Daytona Beach after fleeing police at speeds up to 120 mph (193 kph) in a vehicle authorities say was stolen at gunpoint from an Orlando area pizza delivery driver. ....

Suspect in armed carjacking involved in fatal head-on crash

Two siblings died in a head-on crash after viewing Christmas lights at the Daytona International Speedway. Authorities said the person who crashed into them was a suspected armed carjacker.The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said the alleged carjacking happened in Orange County. The suspect was fleeing from Orange County, turned off his lights and entered into Volusia County, deputies said.Deputies said they began to pursue the fleeing car, that made a U-Turn on I-95 around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Officials said the man reached speeds of over 110 MPH. Authorities said they then stopped pursuing the car and tried to stop oncoming southbound traffic as the suspect was driving the wrong way on the roadway.Officials said the alleged carjacker hit an oncoming vehicle head-on around exit 260A.
