Another round of winter weather is headed toward the Las Vegas area.“This will probably hit all of Northeastern New Mexico. That s what District 4 is in charge of,” said New Mexico Department of Transportation District 4 PIO Travis Martinez.Road crews are ready and waiting for the winter storm to hit areas like Las Vegas to Raton to Clayton.“Crews come in about two hours prior to forecasted weather and start getting the trucks ready and loading the dicer and the cinder,” Martinez said.According to KOAT 7 Weather Chief Meteorologist Joe Diaz, the Las Vegas area could be waking up to as much as half a foot of snow and possibly more as the sun comes up, wh ....
