Uzodimma appoints Ohakim, four others for Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu's

Late Admiral Kanu was a one time Military Administrator of old Imo State.
Dr. Ohakim was named Chairman of the Committee.
Other members of the burial committee include another former Military Administrator of Imo State, Navy Capt. James Aneke, Minister of State Mines, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, the Secretary to Imo State Government, Chief Cosmas Iwu and his Abia State counterpart, Barr. Chris Ezem.
Governor Uzodimma had described late Admiral Kanu as a detribalised Nigerian leader.
The Governor said the Committee shall liaise with the family of the deceased, “the community and Lagos State Government and organise a befitting state burial for His Excellency, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu, former Military Governor of Old Imo State.” ....

Political leaders from Okigwe visit Uzodimma, pledge to work with him

They did on Wednesday when they
paid a solidarity visit to the Governor Uzodimma at Government House Owerri.
The leaders who were led by the Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paul Emeziem who is also from Okigwe Zone, were described as political deciders of election in Okigwe zone. They said having seen the good works of the Shared Prosperity Government of Governor Uzodimma they decided to join the moving train to make Imo State better.
The Chairman of the group, Rt. Hon. Stanford Onyirimba who is former Majority Leader Imo State House of Assembly said they came in solidarity with Mr. Speaker to express their readiness to work with the Governor after evaluating his various landmark achievements in his first one year in office. ....

NLC, TUC commend Imo governor for prompt payment of salaries

The National leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has commended Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State for prompt payment of salaries inspite of the economic challenges facing the country.
It also lauded the governor for his prudent management of the state’s resources resulting to the execution of capital projects in addition to the payment of salaries.
Consequently, the organised labour pledged to work harmoniously with the governor to ensure that the welfare of workers still occupy the front burner in government’s priorities.
After meeting with the governor and other top government officials, the labour leaders stressed the need for support for the Governor to enable him do more for workers. ....
