Women’s basketball standout and Rhode Island native Janai Crooms (Cranston, R.I.) has announced that she’ll be returning home to attend Providence College and play for the Friars. The 5-foot, 10-inch guard has signed an athletic aid agreement and will transfer from Michigan State with two years of eligibility remaining. Crooms played her high school basketball at St. Andrew’s (Barrington, R.I.), where she was a four-star recruit and the 36th-ranked player overall in the Class of 2018 by Prospect Nation.

He either single-handedly or with others co-founded The Big Picture - a network of high schools across the country, The Met School and now an accredited college College Unbound.
His work as a principal at Thayer Junior/Senior High School in Winchester, N.H. was featured in an NBC movie, A Town Torn Apart based on the book Doc: The Story of Dennis Littky and His Fight for a Better School.
