Eatala stripped off health portfolio, Telangana CM takes charge

On a day of fast-paced developments, Health Minister Eatala Rajender has been stripped off his portfolio just 24 hours after a section of land assignees of Atchampet village in Masaipet Mandal of Medak district complained that their land had allegedly been encroached by Minister and his supporters for expansion of a poultry farm and hatchery belonging to the latter.
A press communique released from Raj Bhavan said: “On the advice of the Chief Minister of Telangana, the Governor has approved the transfer of Medical, Health and Family Welfare portfolio from Etela Rajender to the Chief Minister with immediate effect.”

Responding to SOS calls, Kavitha sets up 24×7 COVID-19 helpline

Hyderabad: In response to continuous SOS calls, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLC and ex-MP K. Kavitha has set up a COVID-19 helpline to help citizens. The TRS leader issued instructions to her office and also said that her team will be available round the clock for service, both in Hyderabad and also Nizamabad, which she had represented as a member of Parliament earlier.
On Monday, Kavitha posted on Twitter that anyone who requires assistance to deal with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic can contact her Hyderabad and Nizamabad offices on the following numbers: 040-23599999/8985699999/08462-250666 (NZ). “My team will be available round the clock for your service,” the former Nizamabad MP said.

Hyderabad: The TRS is betting big on the development it brought about for the Nagarjunasagar assembly constituency areas over the past six years of its rule, hoping this would help it win more votes and retain the seat in the April 17 bypoll.
The party campaign highlights the scores of projects sanctioned and completed by the government since in 2014 and also juxtaposes the scene with the “lack of development” in the constituency during the successive Congress and TD rules for several decades.

Sunil attempted to end his life as he was allegedly depressed after waiting for Telangana government job notifications to fill up vacant positions. The Telangana Youth Congress and National Students Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest in Hyderabad on Saturday. They demanded that the body of Sunil be placed at the Telangana Martyrs memorial near Telangana State Assembly in Hyderabad.
