The movie which was supposed to release in April last year was put off after the Centre announced lockdown over Coronavirus pandemic. Now the filmmakers have chosen Mahashivratri as the time for releasing the most awaited Kannada movie. Interestingly enough, the film is also releasing in Telugu. The pre-release events for both languages were held on a grand scale. While Roberrt Telugu pre-release was held in Hyderabad the Kannada one too was a huge event. ....

Coming out simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu, Roberrt is this week s sole release (in Kannada) and the stage, as it would seem, couldn t have been set better for the film to flex its muscles. Having been in the making for quite some time, Roberrt has certainly had its share of delays and inconveniences. Apart from the unavoidable break due to the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, Roberrt s Telugu version too hit a major roadblock when the Telugu Film Chamber had implored the makers to delay the release by a week or two in Andhra and Telangana states. However, the situation was handled by the right authorities and the film was able to release on the same day as the Kannada version. ....
