Young people in Derry are being encouraged to have their voice heard and apply for the first ever NI Youth Assembly.
The application process is open to young people aged 13-17 living in Northern Ireland and will see 90 Youth Assembly members selected to share their views and directly influence decisions taken by the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Mayor Brian Tierney said: This is a really fantastic and exciting opportunity for young people across our district to have a platform to share their views on what s important to them and what changes they would like to see.

An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar TD, is officially launching a new âgreenâ enterprise support this morning, to mark the beginning of Local Enterprise Week (1 to 5 March).
The Green for Micro programme, an initiative from the Local Enterprise Offices with support from Enterprise Ireland, is being rolled out nationwide to help prepare small businesses for the low carbon, more resource efficient economy of the future.
An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar T.D. has announced the full programme of events for Local Enterprise Week (LEW), which is taking place online from Monday, March 1 to Friday, March 5.
More than 200 virtual events are planned by the LEOs around the country, including LEO Fingal, and these include training workshops, information webinars and masterclasses with entrepreneurs and experts, designed to help Ireland s small businesses and those looking to start a new business in 2021.
Organised by LEO Fingal and supported by Enterprise Ireland (EI) and Fingal County Council, this year s theme is Making It Happen. Common topics across the week include starting a new business, resilience and recovery, the green economy, becoming leaner , exploring new markets, doing business online and the new trading relationship with the UK. For the first time, LEW also includes ten Spotlight events, and these are open to every business across the country.
