Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], January 7 (ANI): The Governor of Tamil NaduBanwarilal Purohit on Thursday appreciated the remarks made by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar regarding the Tamil community in Colombo on Wednesday.

Farm sector performed well despite lockdown restrictions, says Vice-President
Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday expressed confidence that India will regain the position of “fastest-growing emerging economy” in 2021 despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Delivering the 41st convocation address at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore, he noted that the agriculture sector performed well during the lockdown even while other sectors were affected.
