A South Australian woman has escaped injury after she was swept out to sea trying to save her dog from the swell.
The woman, 54, went into the water and was swept out about 100m offshore of Basham Beach near Port Elliot, on the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, and couldn t swim back in.
Luckily, surfers paddled out to help her.

The woman, from Hayborough, was taken to South Coast District Hospital as a precaution. ....

A Northland family is pleading for the return of their pet dog - a member of the family for 11 years. Mike and Natalie Coyne said Swazzy was allegedly picked up by a woman on SH1 in Hukerenui after he escaped their property on February 7. The couple believe the woman approached their neighbour regarding Swazzy and she was directed to their place but they were not home at the time. The couple have contacted the pound, locals vets and councils, as well as the SPCA, and have put up posters plus social media posts asking for help. They asked he be dropped to the pound, SPCA, vet, or their home address in Hukerenui if known. ....

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Decatur police arrested 36-year-old Michael Leon Baker and 38-year-old John Pointer III on kidnapping charges.
The arrest comes weeks after the victim escaped and went to the Wavaho gas station off of Highway 20 in Decatur.
The Wavaho owner says an older white male came running into the store with his hands cuffed behind his back, screaming for help. He said the two suspects come to the store frequently. ....
