Lahore, January 27, 2021 (PPI-OT): An investors’ delegation led by CEO of Tawwan Pvt. Limited Tanvir Hussain Awan met with Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and showed its interest in investing in the province. Director Suleman Nasir Abdullah, advisor Shahbaz Khan, chief secretary, chairman P and D and others were also present. Talking on the occasion, the CM said that revolutionary steps have been taken by the PTI government to promote investment adding that Punjab has emerged as a haven for the investors. ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan says the PTI government has nothing to do with the Broadsheet issue, as General (R) Pervez Musharraf had signed the contract and later backtracked on it unilaterally by giving an NRO to PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
He was talking to a private television channel during his visit to North Waziristan on Wednesday, which was aired Friday night. Imran said the government had formed a ministerial committee comprising judges and lawyers to investigate the case and suggest ways to bring back the looted public money from abroad. ....

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan says the PTI government has nothing to do with the Broadsheet issue, as General (R) Pervez Musharraf had signed the contract and later backtracked on it unilaterally by giving an NRO to PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
He was talking to a private television channel during his visit to North Waziristan on Wednesday, which was aired Friday night.
Imran said the government had formed a ministerial committee comprising judges and lawyers to investigate the case and suggest ways to bring back the looted public money from abroad.
He said the government had to pay $28.7 million in damages to Broadsheet or face daily markup of 5,000 pounds (1100,000 Pak rupees). He also quoted a State Department’s report on annual money laundering of $10 billion, which made $200 billion during last 20 years. ....

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that Pakistan offered ample investment opportunities in diverse sectors and the government will extend all possible facilities to foreign investors.
The government, in order to facilitate foreign investment companies, is also taking various measures under one-window operation and the policy of ease of doing business, the prime minister said during a meeting with a delegation of the Dhabi Group which had called on him.
On the occasion, the premier said that Pakistan also had ample opportunities for investment in the tourism sector. ....
