Roger Stone bodyguard Roberto Minuta among 2 more arrested in Capitol riot, authorities say


NEW YORK (WABC) Two men wanted in the deadly riot at the Capitol were arrested over the weekend, including one who reportedly served as a bodyguard to former President Donald Trump s longtime political confidant Roger Stone, federal authorities said Monday.
Roberto Minuta, a Newburgh tattoo parlor owner, has been arrested in connection with the Capitol riot, a law enforcement official told ABC News.
A member of the Oath Keepers, Minuta was seen on video guarding Roger Stone the morning of January 6 outside a Washington D.C. hotel.
Minuta, 36, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, had been equipped with military-style attire and gear, including apparel emblazoned with a crest related to the Oath Keepers, the FBI said, referring to the far-right antigovernment militia. ....

A majority of Americans support former President Donald Trump being impeached and convicted for his role in the January 6 U.S. Capitol riots, a higher share compared to his first impeachment.
Monmouth University released their latest poll Monday which found a 56 percent majority of those surveyed are in support of the House s second impeachment proceedings against the now-former president. A nearly identical January 2020 Monmouth survey showed 53 percent supported his impeachment on those two charges of Obstruction of Congress and Abuse of power. Pollsters said there is more agreement Trump did something wrong in this current impeachment trial, where he faces one charge of inciting insurrection tied to his behavior leading up to the deadly Capitol attack. ....
