KOD and anticipation for a follow-up is palpable on social media. On Tuesday (May 4), the Dreamville Records boss ramped it up when he randomly tweeted, “Is this thing on?” But the elusive Cole quickly returned with the announcement fans have been waiting for a release date for
The Off-Season.
According to the man himself, J. Cole’s sixth studio album is expected to arrive Friday (May 14), bringing the long, laborious wait to an end.
“Just know this was years in the making,” he wrote alongside the album’s dramatic cover art. “My new album The Off-Season available everywhere 5/14.”

Exclusive – CyHi The Prynce has long been affiliated with Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. Music label, although he was never officially signed to the imprint. So it came as somewhat as a surprise when CyHi released a song in 2015 called “Elephant In The Room” in which he shoots up the Def Jam Recordings offices, kidnaps Kanye and throws him in the truck of his car while dissing anyone who got in his way.
Using a sample from Cage The Elephant’s “Shake Me Down,” the song was uploaded to SoundCloud with a G.O.O.D. Music logo for the cover art, making it look especially disrespectful.
What would happen to Idaho Public Television without state funding? Hayat Norimine, The Idaho Statesman
Mar. 10 Updated 5:34 p.m. on March 10, 2021, to include comments from House Minority Leader Ilana Rubel.
Idaho Public Television narrowly held onto its state funding Monday as House members considered whether to vote down an appropriation bill over complaints about partisan programming shows that dealt with issues like race and climate change.
After some debate on the floor, the House in a 36-34 vote approved House Bill 283, which would accept Idaho Public Television s $9.6 million budget total and appropriate $2.7 million from the state general fund.
Critics said the broadcast is unfavorable toward conservative Republicans and provided programming about racism and white privilege. State funding is not used for its content, which is financially supported by private donations and federal grants.

This month, the soundtrack to Judas and the Black Messiah produced new verses from JAY-Z, Nas, A$AP Rocky and even a posthumous song from Nipsey Hussle.
